Rick Giujusa

Folk-Singer Songwriter based in Edinburgh, UK

After years of playing lead guitar in blues bands and writing short stories and sometimes poems on the side, I quit my day job in 2017 to pursue the art path full time and write my own songs. I started traveling around Europe and the USA, working as farmhand and busking a lot and all the poems, random lyrics, photos, notes, bad dreams and travel diaries, all the memories from past lives, heartbreak and mistakes started weaving into each other, sometimes turning into songs.
A Debut EP "Don't Try" was released independently in 2019, followed by a Single "A Wild Heart" and the "Goddamn Moon" EP, via the Norway based Studio and Record Label Morskjeller, in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic times.
In 2022,  I spent 6 months traveling across the USA, and I'm currently working on my Debut Album.
"Salthill Skies" and "Heading North" the first two singles off my new album, were recorded between Morskjeller Studio in Bergen in January 2024 and Knockonwood Studio in Edinburgh, in September 2024.
Official release dates and upcoming shows/tours, to be announced soon.

"I live in my head and my head lives in my heart, and my heart is a Well, a Meadow, a Dandelion.
I collect postcards. And little by little they turn into songs. I'll send you one someday."
